So many different seeds to choose from the lovely selection. They arrived promptly and nicely packaged. I chose the Value Wildflower Mixture for my redundant vegetable patch. Half of the seeds are sown and I will use the rest in the spring. Looking forward to a colourful suprise.
It’s been just over a week since I first sowed the grass seed and used the pre-seeding fertiliser from the Lawn Rejuvenation Pack, and I was really surprised to see the grass already starting to grow in under a week! Now, just a week and a few days on, we’re already seeing a lovely green lawn coming through. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly! I received the report by email but there was no clear guidance on how to improve soil quality. I now know what the problem is but had to go elsewhere to find solution. It would have been really helpful if I had received some feedback on how to improve the soil

Due to the shade from the trees in our woodland and then being hit by Storm Goretti, we were left with left with more mud than grass! I spoke to the sales team at Southwest Seeds, they were incredibly helpful and recommended the Horse and Pony Graze as the best option for the situation. The results speak for themselves. The grass is still thickening up but we are impressed with how quickly the area has grown and how good it looks.

After spending so much time and effort treating, top soiling and levelling our garden we wanted a lawn package that was fuss free, easy to use and most importantly - worked! As a retired farmer who relied on South West Seed’s corn cleaning service for many years, I still look forward to receiving the catalogue each spring and autumn—especially Mr. Jones’s insightful commentary on the state of agriculture. Last year, my wife and I took on a new project: a derelict wooden cabin and an acre and a half of overgrown land. After clearing the scrub, I came across the wildflower mix for heavy clay soils in the catalogue and decided to give it a try. The results have been beyond our expectations. Both we and our neighbours are delighted—it’s been a joy to watch the area flourish. We walk past it most mornings, and it seems to look better every day. Very happy with the advice received and prompt delivery. I understand it could be 3+ years or so before the meadow is established so can't really comment on the product itself.
A great mix of grasses and clover produced a lovely hay crop this spring and survived the drought and is still producing a thick sward.
