Our Tyne arable silage mixture is a mix of 30kg/Acre forage-type Blue Lupin and 30kg/Acre of Logo Spring Triticale and uses the new blue lupin variety Iris. This mix is ideally suited to growers in the North and the South West and is intended for use in situations where earliness and disease resistance is a priority. The quality is similar to that of the Avon mix and although yields tend to be slightly lower, there is an earlier harvest date.
Arable Silage mixtures can be under sown with Westerwold or Italian Ryegrasses for extra grass in the autumn and following spring and are ideal for both Organic and Conventional growers with low inputs and a low disease/pest threat.
